Raw to the core. This is Rob's first album, done with great friend Tzipora. They were young, they were stupid, they had no clue. It's beautiful like a green banana. For fans of Freshlyground, Johnny Clegg and Mango Groove, this album will appeal.
NOTES
After 20 years dong music as more than just a hobby, Rob finally decided to take the plunge back in 2008 and release his own music - no major label, no more waiting around for opportunities to come. In the words of Hannibal, Rob decided to make a way, since he couldn't find one.

The most obvious starting point was music strongly infused with an African flavour, since Rob is a white African, n'est pas? Once Africa is in the blood, wherever you may roam on this earth (or in space), it will always be in the blood. For fans of Miriam Makeba, Freshlyground, Mango Groove, Johnny Clegg, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and the Soweto Gospel Choir, some of the music will appeal.

And yet the sound is an eclectic mix and mishmash of genres and styles - something that Rob has become used to in his long and extensive music career. With hues of country, soft rock and AC, the CD is a hedonistic melting pot of cultures - a bit like Africa. Enjoy!

A personal note from Rob: "Thank you to the wonderful and talented Tzipora (I know her as Flo) for lending me her beautiful voice and her great songwriting skills, to get this, the very first of my albums, out. I will always be grateful to her. She is a treasure."

Musica, grata Deo.
